  1. I think this clip is really interesting in that it highlights commonalities between groups that at first appear to have nothing in common. Super intriguing! At the same time, however, it uses some stereotypes and common social representations of these groups of people (like Cadillacs and liking bling)... I can't determine whether this is an example of someone who is challenging the current representations (by saying there are similarities between groups that appear to be extremely different and therefore highlighting commonalities between everyone) or if it is perpetuating stereotypes.

  2. Well first I think that there are actually a lot of similarities between Jewish people and African-Americans in socio-political ways and historically in this country. But I felt that the comment "And all their friends are dying" was not funny. At all. That was a little too far... but the comment about how they do their hair and wear white shoes and track suits was fine. This country's treatment of the black man in the past three decades is too sensitive a subject at which to laugh.
